Fall Lake CleanUp
Please mark your calendars on September 22nd, 2018, for the fall lake clean up which is being held in conjunction with National Lands Day. FOLE is partnering with the USACE and the Georgetown Rotary to sponsor the event. The clean up will be based out of River Bluff Park in Georgetown; however, teams can launch boats or walk the shoreline anywhere around the lake. FOLE will use their new pontoon boat to transport volunteers from River Bluff launch to “trashy” shoreline areas. There will be several other boats at that location. Gloves, trash bags and grippers will be provided. There are areas around the lake such as walking trails that need trimming. Volunteers wishing to help with the trimming need to bring their own equipment. The clean up starts at 8 AM Eastern and will conclude at 12 PM Eastern at River Bluff where lunch will be provided. If you desire to help with the clean up please contact Brad Moore, Bmooreless@Gosuto.com or Shannon Schaefer, Shannon.L.Schaefer@usace.army.mil by September 17th.
